Artwork

We produce different types of creative work, which includes lots of experimental techniques. Styles are varied and students are encouraged to design their own work, in order to develop and grow their skills. This also means each item is unique and is tailored to suit their own cultural background for sale purposes and can be adapted to materials locally available.  Below are some examples.

Painted Wooden Jewellery

Different media and techniques were used on wood shapes to achieve a variety of styles to make jewellery. These included water soluble colour pencils, acrylic and water colour paints.

Marbling

Inks and acrylic paints were mixed with a special solution to “marble” on the surface of water, then transferred onto paper. The marbling was used on a number of different items which included journals, cards and jewellery.

Metal Jewellery

Metal, old cans, discarded paper bags, maps and books were combined together with embossing as well as a distressing ink technique to create beautiful, but inexpensive jewellery.
